Initial Assessment

Before we dive into any lessons, I like to spend some time really getting to know your dog how they behave day to day, what makes them tick, where they struggle, and even those little quirks that make them who they are. It’s not about following a one-size-fits-all plan, because honestly no two dogs are the same. By watching, listening, and asking questions, I can shape the training around what your dog actually needs, so it feels natural for them and for you.

Customised Training Plan

Once I’ve had the chance to understand your dog a bit better, I’ll put together a plan that actually fits them, not just a generic list of commands. It’s about working on the things that cause the most trouble for you right now, while at the same time building up those everyday habits that make life smoother and more enjoyable. Bit by bit, the groundwork for better behaviour and cooperation starts to fall into place.

One-on-One Sessions

After we’ve got a plan in place, it’s not just handed over and left at that. I’ll be there with you, working side by side in one-on-one sessions. It’s very hands-on, with me showing you what to do, giving feedback as we go, and making sure it all makes sense in real time. The idea isn’t just for your dog to learn, but for you to feel comfortable and confident too, so the two of you can carry it forward together long after the session ends.

Consistent Communication

I’ve learned over the years that talking things through makes such a difference. I don’t just disappear and leave you wondering how things are going . I’ll tell you what I’m seeing, the little steps forward, and the times where we might need to try something a bit different. Sometimes it’s just a matter of showing you a simple trick for keeping the progress going at home, other times it’s a longer chat about why your dog does what they do. And I’ll say this plainly, I’m Carol, and I’m right here with you. If you’re stuck, or if something feels hard, you can ask me. That way it never feels like you’re on your own in this.

Gradual Advancement

As things start to click and your dog gets the hang of it, I don’t just stop there , we slowly bring in new bits, different places, a few extra challenges so they can practise what they’ve learned in real life. It might be a busier street one week, or a new park the next. Little by little, they start to carry those good habits with them wherever they go, and that’s when you really see it sticking.

Our Program Structure

Puppy Preschool

This program is suitable for small puppies (up to 6 months old). The focus areas are as follows:

Socialization with other dogs and people.
Introduction to basic commands: sit, stay, come.
Bite inhibition and gentle play.
Potty training

Basic Obedience

This program is suitable for adolescent dogs (age between 6 months to 1 year). The focus areas are as follows:

Building on basic commands.
Leash manners and loose-leash walking.
Advanced socialization with various environments.
Introduction to more complex commands: down, leave it, and off.

Advanced Training

This program is a specialised advanced training classes suitable for dogs 1 year or older. The focus areas are as follows:

Refinement of obedience commands.
Addressing specific behavior issues (if any).
Advanced leash training and off-leash reliability.
Introduction to specialized training (e.g., agility, scent work).

Gentle Package

This education program designed to train senior dogs and smaller breeds that require gentle care. The focus areas are as follos:
